Dempsey
It’s often said that the first child always has a special place in the parents’ heart, and we couldn’t agree more with our first outlet at Dempsey. It is special to us really because this is where the beginning of The Wine Company™ started.
As long-time wine lovers, we (also one of the pioneers who discovered and set up shop in Dempsey) had thought it a good idea to bring in some cases of wines for ourselves, and then sell some by the way. Our initial idea was to create a cellar-door concept, where people could buy wines, try them and sit around and chat.
It must have been the lush greenery, the charm of the old buildings, or maybe the fresh air…but everyone fell in love with our outlet, and we soon found ourselves bustling around serving wine, making more friends, laugh, and then adding more finger food as requests for food poured in.
Today, our philosophy of sharing wines at friendly prices still remains, only we’ve got an even more extensive wine list and more extensive finger food menu. And lots more friends.
